Welcome to Brainflow Science, a repository for MRI tools helpful for imaging and analyzing flow in the brain. This site is operated by imaging research faculty at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles and the University of Southern California.
We hope to provide a public repository of information regarding flow imaging acquisition and analysis using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
MRI images can visualize flowing blood in the arteries, veins, ventricles, and aqueducts of the brain. This site includes a description of brain imaging techniques that are widely available on MR systems which can help to answer important clinical and research questions in brain imaging. We hope to easy the implementation burden of these technologies by providing a well-vetted starting point from which imaging researchers can begin to build robust protocols.
